About a month ago, my family and I road-tripped from Southern California to Las Vegas, Nevada. My prior experiences in Vegas were limited to walking around inside hotels as a child while my family tested their luck at the casinos, so I was excited to explore more of what the city has to offer.
On our first night, we stopped by the Bellagio to watch the iconic water fountain show before heading inside to see the autumnal exhibit at the Conservatory & Botanical Gardens.
Early the next morning, we went to The Venetian and strolled around the replica of St. Mark’s Square. I’ve begun to accept that I may never be able to actually visit Venice, considering the rising sea levels, so being here offered a small bit of consolation.
From there, we walked around the Linq Promenade, where we perused the shops while brave souls ziplined above us.
Just off the Promenade is the Flamingo Hotel, which is home to an apt Flamingo Wildlife Habitat. 
After grabbing lunch at the nearby outlet, we headed to the Neon Boneyard Park. The park displays quintessential bright and flashy signs from old casinos and hotels. But we coincidentally planned our visit during the “Lost Vegas” Tim Burton exhibition, so we also had the chance to see some of Burton’s work scattered throughout the park. 
After heading back to the hotel to rest from a day of walking, we headed back to the Strip one last time. We stopped by the Coca Cola Store to try the Tastes of the World, which features samples of 16 different Coke flavors from around the world. Some were hits and some were misses, but it was a fun experience nonetheless. Pro Tip: If you plan on trying this out, make sure you go with a big group. Luckily we had 5 people in our group, but even then, all the sugar got a little too much for us.
We ended the night walking down the Strip, taking in the bright lights, larger-than-life buildings, and bustling streets once last time.
